Feature: 16’ length material
Value: One size board to deal with for faster construction,
cleaner finished look and less overall cost . The length works equally
well vertically or horizontally.
2. Feature: Because of the source, the
aged wood is weathered the same on both sides
Value: Unlike barn wood, CWI wood is exposed to the same
“aging” conditions on both sides of the plank. Exposing
both sides of the wood in final construction can be done with appearance
consistency. Also, most planks can be “re-sawed” based
on the application.
3. Feature: No concern for consistency
when replacement or “add-ons” are required
Value: Again, unlike barn wood, CWI sources its product from
snow fence and only snow fence. This product, regardless of when
or where it is built in Wyoming, is exposed to the same snow, wind,
rain and sun, and, therefore, is always consistent in color and
texture. If a customer wants to replace a board in the future, it
can be accomplished with no change in the look.
4. Feature: CWI wood, unlike some barn
wood, is not painted
Value: 100% naturally aged and weathered wood requires no
scraping prior to construction/application.
5. Feature: CWI wood does not require kiln
drying
Value: The Wyoming climate produces a snow fence wood with
less than 8% moisture content
6. Feature: CWI wood does not require any
form of “treatment” prior to construction
Value: Natural aging in the Wyoming climate produces a beautifully
weathered patina
7. Feature: CWI’s source presents
a plentiful supply of aged wood versus barn wood
Value: With approximately 3,000,000 Board feet of wood in
the aging process currently, CWI can meet virtually all demands
for weathered wood at a reasonable price. Further, CWI can react
to order requirements without the ongoing challenge of finding barns
and other structures to tear down.
