Nickel Gap Boards Made from Reclaimed Wood

This is a tongue and groove milling process where the tongue is deeper than the groove. This creates a gap between the boards of 1/8", which is approximately the thickness of a nickel. Often shiplap is installed using spacers to get the "nickel gap look." Nickel gap can be used for both horizontal and vertical applications and come with many different finishes available. These reclaimed wood boards contribute towards satisfying credits MR3, MR4, and MR5 under LEED®.

The face is typically 4.5”.
